A place to grow, a place to shine

Severe Weather and School Closures

In rare circumstances, the school may need to close at short notice. Any decision to close the school is always made with the safety and wellbeing of pupils, families and staff as our highest priority. We understand that closures can be disruptive, and we will always aim to give parents and carers as much notice as possible.

How We Will Communicate With You

If the school needs to close, we will:

  • Contact parents and carers as early as possible
  • Share information via:
    • The school website
    • Text message or email (Arbor App)
    • Other usual school communication channels

It is essential that the school has your up-to-date contact information at all times.
Please inform the school office immediately if your phone number, email address or emergency contact details change.

During a Closure

If the school is closed:

  • Children should not attend school on that day
  • Further information, including reopening details, will be shared as soon as possible
  • We will keep families informed if the situation continues

Working Together

We thank parents and carers for their understanding and cooperation during exceptional circumstances. By working together, we can ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
